Fly with the sound of Koto harp As a young girl, my mother gave me the opportunity to learn Koto. This gift of Koto became a 'friend in my heart'. Now I visit many places in Japan and abroad, sharing the special sounds of Koto and Sangen instruments. It is my desire to bring forth a fresh sound and style of music to celebrate the new millenium. Perhaps through many kinds of circumstances and with the assistance of old spirits, my goal will be realized. Master of Japanese music 1997 Began teaching Koto and Sangen(Japanese harp and strings)class at Khaju art space [work history] 1986 Perfored at Imperial Palace for Imperial family 1991 Participated in welcome performance for former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev. 1996 Held concerts in Denmark and Italy 2000 Held concerts in Austlia and Hungary among other countries. |
